Twelve lessons explore how the same men who doubted in Galilee, argued in Capernaum, and ran for their lives in Gethsemane are transformed by the resurrected King in the book of Acts. With scripture reading, inspirational readings, questions to answer, space for journaling, and a prayer. Join us for this time of study and life enrichment.

Christian Education for our congregation is three-fold:

  • For our children and youth, education about the bible, bible stories, and our United Methodist heritage.
  • For our adults, bible study which relates the messages of the bible to our daily living.
  • Everyone is encouraged to partake in a daily devotional and prayer. Starting points are constantly demonstrated thorough corporate prayer, our prayer chain and small groups that meet bi-weekly. If you are in need of prayer, contact us (714-536.3537) or fill out a prayer rquest card during worship this Sunday. Each week, we leave worship with a weekly prayer calendar to follow daily.
They're called Christ's Working Warriors and they meet on second and fourth Wednesday each month. Each week these folks meet to read a short meditation from the Upper Room and reflect on the situation in each person's life. The hour discussion, prayer, and journalling ends with an assignment to write about your life as a child. After the meditation session, everyone grabs their tools and becomes one of God's helping hands.

Worker Warriors will meet next on October 26th at 8:30 AM in Room 34 discussing the topic "Unburdened". Future topics are “Turning Over Our Doubts”, ”God -forssaken ”, and “Taste and See”. All are welcome. Come for one session or all. For a schedule of topics or more information, contact John Leonard (714-536-8644) or <johnl@fumchub.org> .

Have you considered movies from a Christian perspective?

Many movies illustrate the human condition and provide food for thoughtful study and discussion. Twice-a-month, the official online ministry of The United Methodist Church, reviews a current film in wide release. Films are viewed through a spiritual lens, as opposed to focusing on the art form itself, they are assessed for their spiritual and social elements. These reviews also provide questions for discussion.

Each of us has been given spirtual gifts. You can learn about yours at the UMC Spiritual Gifts page.
