Many people, yes, even Christians, feel inadequate when it comes to prayer. If you feel this way, remember that disciples asked Jesus, "Lord, teach us to pray." Jesus responded by giving the model prayer that we call the Lord's Prayer. It is simple, short, and to the point. If you have trouble getting started with your prayer, start with the Lord's Prayer. It will also help if you remember that prayer is simply a conversation with God. One in which you talk and, be confident, God listens. Rest assured that you are always welcome to approach God for your personal audience.

If you are in need of prayer, call Sarah (963-9136) who keeps our active Prayer Chain in motion. She will take your request and act upon it. You may also email your requests to <info@fumchub.org>.

If you need more help getting started, you may want to try two simple methods of organizing prayer, ACTS and BLESS, which Mary Lou Redding, the editor of the Upper Room, describes in her article: The Privilege of Prayer.

When you worship with us you will find copies of the Upper Room available in the Narthex for a donation. You will find a link to the Upper Room and an introduction to today's devotional below. Join us and make prayer a daily part of your life.
